What do you want to be when you grow up?

Isn't it a good thing that we aren't held to the first claim we make as children concerning our future profession? What a different world we would live in! There would certainly be a surplus of cowboys and princesses running around!

When Gabe was two, he once told Jonathan and I that when he grew up he wanted to be a Chef. He said he would make pizza with jelly beans, on the moon, and Mommy would be the only one allowed to eat his tasty treats. He then proceeded to call himself 'Chef Gabe' for the next 15 minutes. When I got home from work on Friday - Chef Gabe was working on his latest culinary creation. Yogurt Pizza! See picture below...
The recipe is super simple! Simply order pizza from your favorite local pizzeria...and add your choice of Yoplait yogurt. He insisted it was delicious.

Eden has not yet claimed a future profession. However, Jonathan and I are certain that whatever she does, she'll be the boss of it. She does seem quite math and science oriented though. Maybe physics will be her forte - she's always experimenting. Friday's Lesson: What happens when you throw a hot pink bouncy ball at a ceiling fan set on medium speed? Answer: The ball gets thrown across the room and you end up in your room for a timeout!

Other highlights from this weekend...

Gabe proposed to a little girl at church. And, in an effort to prep Eden for the possibility of one day owning a restaurant with her brother, she and I made cupcakes! She enjoyed tasting the cake batter and spreading on the icing. Her favorite part...and the scariest part for me...using the mixer. She LOVED it!
